Joyce Wayne
Book sales are driven by authors hustling with shopping bags, organizing events, and engaging with small groups. Joyce Wayne, editor of “A National Awakening: Robin Mathews and the Struggle for Canadian Identity,” truly embodies this personal touch. A big thank you and congratulations to Joyce on a successful launch!🇨🇦💪

Paul Edward Costa

Some Half-Human Creature Thing

Discover a unique addition to the literary and poetry works of Paul Edward Costa, whose reputation as an original and important voice continues to grow

Paul Edward Costa is an award-winning poet, spoken word artist, former Poet Laureate of the City of Mississauga, and a full member of the League of Canadian Poets. He won the 2019 Mississauga Arts Council’s Emerging Literary Arts Award and has been published widely. His first book of poems, The Long Train of Chaos, was published in 2019, followed by his book of flash fiction, God Damned Avalon from Mosaic Press in 2021.

With a significant presence as a spoken-word artist, Paul’s work can be found on various online platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

“In this collection of my poetry, I use a descriptive, direct and narrative style to create metaphors and allegories which are clearly visceral while stimulating the intellect. There is a dry humour/satirical element to some poems’ explorations of power and those oppressed by it. It also contains my personal reflections in the face of those systems of power.”

— Paul Edward Costa
