Fluddite Values & Communal Partnerships
A human & Humane Sources Cooperative that supports the future goals of an established location/facility (BPL, etc.) that is reviewing its own future programs in the local community. We urge you to consider our approach of Caring & Sharing that provides expertise to working class groups etc., in the local Community who have limited financial resources for their children, families & themselves. Our goal is to develop partnerships that inspire & enrich the communal life of ALL our residents. These groups are the reason for Our not-for-profit approach to partnerships in the community.

John Kenneth Galbraith’s book , The Good Society expressed a concern that North America & Western Europe had engaged in an unfair distribution of PRODUCTIVITY whereby the Poor continue to face Recession/Economic Depression & Unemployment while the ultra-wealthy, ONE Percent live comfortably regardless of HOW they accessed their Wealth – by Monopoly, family background & status, Market capitalism, tax avoidance, lobbying Govts, Global Cartels, hold minimum wage & living benefits to workers faced with inflation, fixed incomes & limited assets for Food, shelter & clothing. Plus, the new reality of micro/macro hi- technology, a crumbling infrastructure & global poverty, migration & political control so that the ONE Percent are building walls to avoid communal responsibility & so many present-day challenges that most of the world’s population have NO chance to experience –The Good Life– while working to just survive.
[NOTE: J.K. Galbraith was born in SW. Ontario & in a distinguished career began his work in the ‘30s, FDR administration (The New Deal) to overcome the lingering problems of the 1929 Great Depression. This book was written near the end of his life in 1996 & ironically, just before the collapse of the Wall Street Bank default & bail out with trillions of dollars from tax reserves to save the US economy in 1998]
As a result of continued annual,Govt under- funding, local Arts & Culture venues have been forced to rely more heavily on private members’ donations, corporate gifts as well as paid Admission to special events. A reality check on the value of an educated & knowledgeable citizenry has always been the foundation of a healthy society & this is Canada’s future well-being. BUT now, if the working majority must budget their survival, many Local, Provincial & National cultural & recreational facilities become an extra cost that no longer has a safe future.
Is there any way to challenge this growing problem or for that matter who cares?
We believe that Communal Partnerships that increase the opportunities for numerous working groups in the community to participate can be achieved through an updated organizational collaboration between the local NGOs and a Citizens Collective Coop with a Citizens Charitable Foundation. [Note: The reference that is being used for this partnership comes from the Bader Company Collective that was founded in the UK where the company’s workers became percentage owners of the for-profit, Bader Company & described in the book, Small is Beautiful by E.F. Schumacher.
PLUS: partnership with groups like a culinary local site for Indigenous & multi-cultural participants to learn the skills with OUR input & collaborative partnership & Govt funding. If you can do it with Food, it can be fine-tuned to work with a variety of specialized skills. In all projects the underlying philosophy of Caring & Sharing in the Community is essential. It is a Humane Cooperative that does not discriminate & the MAYBE approach is supported by All its members. It is a Fluxible approach to our future well-being.
Conclusion
“I am my possibilities everchanging: changed.”
Groups come to the table to find appropriate possibilities because they believe that Caring & Sharing can change the future direction of their actions, regardless of their background & affiliations. They are FLUXIBLE and listen to the Cooperative solution to the challenges. They demonstrate Respect & Recognition for the result & see its Communal integrity being a constructive addition to our healthy survival in the future on Earth.
