Dear Mick,
While February may still be wrapped in winter’s chill, it’s also a month of excitement, kicking off with the Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) next week. Running from 14-17 February, this event engages bird enthusiasts of all ages around the world in counting birds to create a real-time snapshot of where the birds are. Suitable for all levels of experience, the GBBC is a chance to share the joy of birdwatching with a friend or family member. Our feature article this month will help first timers prepare for the event, including count information, resources, and a webinar invite. So go on and invite them along, share these tips, and then get out there to count together next weekend!
